Hi, thank you for visiting my site! Since you’re here, you must be interested in learning a bit more about me. I have been learning languages for most of my life. I didn’t begin to study languages formally until I was in high school, when I began to study Latin and Spanish. At Oberlin College, I continued with Spanish, studying in Seville, Spain, and I also began to study Japanese. Upon graduating, I moved to Japan to teach English as an Assistant English Teacher in Kawaguchi City, Saitama. It was then that I discovered that I really enjoyed teaching. While I was in Japan, I kept up with my Spanish by reading and meeting with other Spanish speakers on a regular basis. Since I love teaching, languages, culture, and travel, I decided to pursue a career in teaching Spanish. I returned to the U.S. to study Spanish and Latin American Studies at American University, where I received my M.A. in Spanish. Learning languages opens many doors! I hope you will join us in one of the many language courses that are offered at the Alexandria campus.
