Pass the Test

In order to ensure that you are prepared for “test taking” we’ve included a few tips that will lead to your success:

Hours of Operation: Check the testing website to informed yourself to the hours of operation.  Arrive early to give yourself time to prepare for any unforeseen occurrences, i.e. long lines. http://www.nvcc.edu/current-students/services-to-students/testing/calendar/

Identification: To take an exam you must present some form of  a valid government issued identification , i.e.  passport, driver’s license, NOVA card

Extended Learning Institute (ELI):   If you are taking an Extended Learning Exam, print your pass ahead of time; complete with course, form number and your emplid number.

Faculty Make up Exam: If you are taking a faculty make up exam, know the faculty member’s name and course number. Also verifying with the testing center ahead of time that the exam has been received might save you a wasted trip to the center.

Correspondence Testing: Complete a proctor request form and submit to the host testing center. Coordinate with your college  testing center to ensure that your test has indeed been sent to NOVA Alexandria campus testing center.
