We hope you enjoy this experience and have an opportunity to meet fellow students, as well as faculty and staff through the process. Let us know if we can help you in any way throughout the semester and your time with ELI.

Hi Everyone! I’m Natalie Clewell, the librarian for ELI. I really look forward to hearing your thoughts on this book throughout the semester. I found it an excellent read that was very thought provoking.
Hey guys, I’m Will Hatheway, and I both teach ENG 125 for ELI and do a bunch of other stuff at the office (including sharing completely random facts with my colleagues, such as the fact that the Dutch use their word for “cancer” as an insult and an expletive). This is an excellent read with a lot going on, so it’ll be great to see what you all have to say about it.
Hi everyone my name is Tray White and I’m a student in english 112 and I’m looking foward to reading this book!
Hi everyone! I’m Laura Tiglao, one of the Student Success Coaches here at ELI. I’m looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks about this very interesting book!
Greetings. I am Preston Davis, Director of Instructional Services at ELI. I am glad to see folks so eager to read and discuss the important issues contained in this book. Welcome to ELI’s Common Reader program.
Hello, Everyone!
I am student of Eng115. It is a nice opportunity to improve my English, learn about the book, and discuss with you. I analyze data about diseases. Data have valuable information for humanity, but I think Henrietta Lack deserves “the immortal life..” just after reading the cover of the book.
Hello everyone! My name is Tina, and I am an Accounting/Health Information Management major. I hope to be able to discuss this book further with you all. I really do find it fascinating that I never knew about this project until just now, and that there has been no news story about this book either. I thought that if there were any type of controversy dealing with the government and/or health agencies, that there would be a broadcast about it, but no such article exists.
Hi! My name is Kim Burkle; and I am an SDV instructor and ELI counselor. This may seem like a late introduction, but I just noticed my original did not post. This is an exciting opportunity for students to collaborate with students from various courses, faculty, and ELI staff. I am looking forward to the lyceum/science seminar!
