The China In My Eyes and Beauty and Harmony exhibition reception was a hit!

NOVA’s Annandale Languages and Literature Division partnered with George Mason’s Confucius Institute to mount a dynamic exhibition centered on China, culture and art.  The well attended reception featured Confucius Institute Instructors, NOVA Professors, NOVA Chinese Student Association/Club, and local Chinese Brush Painting artists.

The NOVA community may be interested in NOVA’s Language Studies and Cultural Exploration In China (2 packages from which to choose – #1 May 17th to June 2, 2014; #2 May 17th to May 22nd, 2014).  For more information please contat Dr. Dali Tan, Professor of Chinese, dtan@nvcc.edu or 703-933-5078, or plan to attend an infomation meeting on Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 at the NOVA Alexandria Campus, Bisdorf Building Room 0342 at 8PM.

Kevin Sheehan has been working in the arts sector for most of his life. He believes that art can define as well as change society, and that artistic perspectives make useful contributions to public policy. Creativity should be nurtured, and the Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center is one fourm for this mission on the Annandale Campus of Northern Virginia Community College.
