I Can Do That!

The beginning of a new academic year is a great time for assessing your skills and making goals. Linguafolio provides a tool to document your progress in the acquisition of a new language. Use this self-assessment grid to reflect on what you “can do” with Spanish. Three Apps for August

It’s August, which means it’s time to get ready to get back to school! Here are three apps to consider downloading for the new school year:

1. Duolingo offers “bite-sized” language lessons that you can do anywhere anytime, for free.  https://www.duolingo.com/

2. WordReference contains bilingual dictionaries. Be sure to check out the language forums for frequently (and not so frequently) asked questions about words and expressions. http://www.wordreference.com/

3. Stack the Countries is a fun educational game that will help enhance your geography skills. Switch the language to “español” to learn country and city names in Spanish. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stack-the-countries/id407838198?mt=8
