Artist Statement

Samuel Miranda is a multi-faceted image maker, poet, artist and educator. He uses his mediums to bring into full view his response to family, friends, travels, history and home. His creative practice extends into rich collaborative projects with fellow artists.

Samuel was born and raised in Bronx, New York. He has made Washington DC his home where he teaches writing and ethics in high school and curates a reading series as well as an exhibition series at the American Poetry Museum in Washington DC. He has an MFA in Poetry from Bennington Writing Seminars and BA in Fine Arts from Georgetown University.  Let’s begin the conversation.
