The Old Tyler Building today

While we wait for the New Tyler building construction to begin I figured it would be an interesting time to take a tour around the Old Tyler building. Looking back always gives you a sense of scope. Below are images of the Tyler Building as it is today.

Before things change

Phase I and Tyler Building

Welcome all to the page that will be documenting the next stage of change for Alexandria Campus with the building of the new Tyler Building. Before we look to the future here is a review of our past.

The Tyler building first started out as the John Tyler Elementary School that opened it’s doors during the 1971-72 school year. After being closed early in 1979 by the Alexandria School board NVCC purchased the property. Keeping the original name the building was later reopened as the Tyler building.
