College Steps is currently looking to hire a number of NVCC Alexandria students as Peer Mentors for the Fall 2020 semester.
The good news is that we do not expect the ongoing COVID-19 situation to affect Peer Mentor employment for the Fall. As all NVCC campuses have pivoted to remote learning over the past few weeks, College Steps has transitioned to remote student support as well. While we anticipate a return to on-campus work for the Fall, in the case that NVCC extends remote learning beyond August, all incoming mentors will be trained to work with our students remotely. We will also be conducting all interviewing and onboarding of new Peer Mentors remotely until further notice.
Attached is the Fall 2020 recruitment flyer below. Would it be possible to share this flyer with Alexandria students who might be looking for work this Fall?
