Message to faculty? Global Affairs Club — please consider helping us

Dear faculty,

My name is Sarah Burkhard and I am the president of the Global Affairs Club. There are 2 important reasons I am approaching you; please consider helping us out with one or the other, if your schedule allows:

1) We are looking for a volunteer for a Q/A session at our next meeting, Thursday Feb 5, 10.00 – 10.30 am . The general theme is “The World This Year”. I picture students asking questions about global economy, upcoming challenges, shifts in power positions , elections etc.

2) We are looking for a faculty member to be our official supervisor at one of the upcoming events our club would love to attend.  Global Affairs

Turkey’s Economic Transition and Transatlantic Relations

Asia Conference: China in the Middle East

China’s emerging role in the Middle East is expanding in tandem with Beijing’s burgeoning economic, political, and to a lesser extent, military interests in the region. Join the U.S. Institute of Peace and the Georgetown University Center for Security Studies on Tuesday, Feb. 17, for a daylong conference to discuss these dynamics and their ramifications.
