The Alexandria NOVA Library and The Schlesinger Center Art Galleries partnered on a NOVA and GMU Student Art Show Pop-Up. The Pop-Up showcased student work that was inspired by the Fisher Gallery exhibit – Global Narratives and the Al-Mutannabi Street Starts Here DC 2016 cultural and book arts festival. The work in the Pop Up was done by art students from the Alexandria and Manassas NOVA campuses as well as students from George Mason. At the Schlesinger Center on February 12th, the one night exhibit provided students the opportunity to display their work in conjunction with the local area professional working artists exhibiting in Global Narratives. After the artists reception, the NOVA Alexandria  library installed the Al-Mutannabi Student Pop-Up exhibit  until March 11th alongside books about the Art of the book.
