Starting Monday, August 18th, the NOVA Shuttle will add 3 new routes to the existing 3 routes.
Additionally, the inter-campus route between Annandale and Alexandria previously included in Route C will be discontinued due to low ridership.
The new routes, D, E, & F, will provide service from the Manassas, Medical Education, and Loudoun Campuses to nearby Metro Stations and Public Transportation hubs.
All NOVA students, staff or faculty can ride for FREE by showing their NOVA Card (required to ride).

The Bookstore has a few important reminders.
The Bookstore has resumed Fall Bookstore Hours which are:
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
SFA ~ Student Financial Aid:
SFA will open on Wednesday, August 6th and close on Monday, September 8th. Please make sure to purchase all your fall textbooks and supplies on or before September 8th. Remember you must have a NOVA ID present to purchase using your SFA at the Bookstore.
Summer Rental Textbooks Due:
All summer rentals are due back to the Bookstore you rented from by or on Monday, August 11th. Remember WE PAY for shipping! Please note all rentals must be post marked by Monday, August 11th. Please see attached instructions on how to print a shipping label .

Attendees will have the chance to explore the endless resources and opportunities this partnership has to offer. This initiative was launched as a “NOVA Special Project” on the Alexandria campus in 2007; 36 students in the NVFS Training Futures program became co-enrolled as college students and earned a total of 431 credits during the fall term.
Six years later, in the 2012-13 academic year, seven community based co-enrollment programs reached more than 1,000 students who earned 7,237 credits (241 annual FTEs), generating more than $1.5 million gross revenue ($425,000 net) for the College.

Background:
The new three-story 80,000-square-foot building will replace the current Tyler Building on campus. It will house the music, studio arts, dance and drama programs. The new structure will include administrative offices, classrooms, activity rooms, a bookstore and a black box theater. In addition, there will be three outdoor terraces erected for studio work and a student lounge.
College officials expect the building to be certified as LEED Silver. The construction project is anticipated to last about 18-months.

The music department at NOVA-Alexandria will close out the academic year with an uplifting spring concert. “Close to Home: An evening with American Composers” will include performances by The NOVA Community Chorus, the NOVA Alexandria Band and the NOVA Alexandria Jazz Ensemble.
Among the music selections include “Rockin’ in Rhythm” by Duke Ellington, “Jamie” by Sammy Nestico, “Frostiana: Seven Country Songs” by Randall Thompson featuring the poetry of Robert Frost, “Variations on a Shaker Melody” by Aaron Copland, and “Overture to Candide” by Leonard Bernstein.
The concert is FREE and open to the public.
