We offer 50-minute, appointment-based sessions where a student can work with a tutor on any academic concerns they may be experiencing. The aim is to provide students with a contact for support and to help them advance through their long and short term academic goals.
The Annandale Academic Support Centers are taking appointments for both in-person and virtual tutoring. Students can schedule an appointment up to two weeks in advance. Visit NOVA’s Online Tutoring web page and click on the Request Services button to schedule a tutoring appointment with a tutor on a specific campus or virtually.
We also provide limited drop-in/on-demand tutoring sessions at the centers on campus. Please see the schedules below of when we have a tutor scheduled to support your course. We are currently prioritizing drop-in/on-demand tutoring for math and science courses. We are prioritizing in-person and virtual appointments for English, ESL, and World Language courses. We strongly encourage you to make an appointment for English, ESL and World Language courses.
Out of caution for the health and safety of our students and staff, we are limiting the number of people that can be in the tutoring centers at a given time. Please see our Policies/FAQs for more information.
NOTE: This schedule is subject to change based on tutor availability. Please call to verify if traveling to our campus.
NOTE: IT/IET in-person tutoring is located in CC122 and is available Monday & Wednesday from 9am-4pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9am-12pm, and Fridays 9am-5pm. Virtual tutoring is also available weekdays from 9am-5pm. Contact iet@nvcc.edu for more information.
