About CCI NOVA

This year (2019-2020) we have 27 participants representing 10 countries studying at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria and Annandale Campuses. Participants are studying Media, Business, Marketing, IT, Meetings and Event Planning, and Early Childhood Education.

During their program year, NOVA CCI Participants complete volunteering hours, a professional internship, and leadership and cultural exchange activities.

Program Coordinators

Sarah Yirenkyi, Program Coordinator, Alexandria Campus

Sarah has 7 years of professional experience in the fields of higher education and international exchange programs. She speaks Spanish, is trying to learn Twi (Ghana) and has traveled to China, Ecuador, Ghana, Mexico, and Spain. Her favorite parts of the CCI program are seeing the impact the participants have in the local Northern Virginia community and seeing each participant grow personally during this experience. Megan Juneau, Program Coordinator, Annandale Campus
Megan Juneau has been working with multicultural students for the last 7 years. Before arriving at NOVA Megan worked with indigenous communities in Alaska and Nepal and with high school students across the United States.
