NOVA and Mason Faculty Collaborate for Conference Presentation
Dr. Hong Wang, associate director of instructional technology training from NOVA Online, presented at the Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. In collaboration with Dr. Dawn Hathaway, an associate professor of learning technologies from George Mason University, Hong presented “Digital Ways to Engage Students in Blended and Online Learning.” More than 70 educators from different states attended their interactive session. Since their first collaboration on project-based learning two years ago, Hong and Dawn have been working together to share their passion and practice in integrating pedagogy and technology to create meaningful learning experiences for hybrid and online learners. Hong said it’s such a kind of professional networking, collaboration, and positive impact on teaching and learning in the field that makes work more exciting and rewarding.
