Student Voices Challenge 5: Quality of Instructors

Over the next few days, the Daily Flyer will highlight responses based on a survey administered to students in November, where they identified 14 challenges that impacted their success at NOVA. Challenge #5: Quality of Instructors

Some respondents expressed their concerns about the quality of instructors at NOVA. The issues cited included:

1) lack of concern for students
2) harsh grading
3) lack of faculty expertise
4) a limited variety of instructors
5) negative interactions
6) lack of communication and feedback
7) issues with faculty advising
