Mark Your Calendars for NOVA’s 2020 Green Festival

March 9, 2020 / Events

With Spring nearly upon us, please mark your calendar and plan to join your colleagues for NOVA’s 2020 Green Festival, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in the Ernst Center (CE Building) on the Annandale Campus. The theme for this year’s event is Waste and its Impact on Habitats.

As many of you are aware, the purpose of NOVA’s Annual Green Festival is to increase both college and local community awareness of regional, national, and global environmental issues, as well as provide information regarding ways that individuals can help preserve the environment.

Participants at this community event will include faculty, staff, students, and local community members. Our target audience is high school and college students and the event is free and open to the public with free parking in any B lot or the parking garage.

The festival will be a combination of presentations, panel discussions, interactive demonstrations, and informational displays. Ideally, it will help the audience to recognize ways they can conserve resources, promote change, and make a difference as individuals. More information can be found at www.nvcc.edu/green-festival/2020.

As in the past, the entire college community is invited to join with colleagues for this topical and educational festival. A printable and distributable flyer can be downloaded.

If you have questions or would like to participate as an exhibitor in the information fair or serve on one of the panels, please contact Rob Johnson, Director of Sustainability and Auxiliary Services, at rojohnson@nvcc.edu, or Cheryl Robinette, Annandale Campus Renovations Coordinator, at crobinette@nvcc.edu.
