Jackson Named interim Esports Director

ANNANDALE – Cecil Jackson has been named interim Director of Esports at Northern Virginia Community College following the departure of Chris Gaul, who announced his resignation as director to take a similar position at Point Park University in Pittsburgh.

As interim director, Jackson is overseeing the esports program for the remainder of the spring semester and will schedule tournaments for the League of Legends, Overwatch and Rocket League teams.

The 2019-20 esports teams have won 35 games this year and will wrap up the regular season schedule at the end of March. The Nighthawks are scheduled compete in the annual Shenandoah University Tournament to finish off the year.
