Reminder: Mandatory Training for All Employees Due April 30

As announced on March 18, there are four mandatory training modules for all employees to complete. Full time
employees will continue to utilize NOVA Academy/COVLC at https://covlc.virginia.gov to complete the
modules. Google Chrome is the recommended browser to access NOVA Academy/COVLC.

Adjunct faculty, wage (P-14), and work-study employees will access the training modules in Canvas.
The four mandatory training modules are:

• Civility in the Workplace [DHRM]
• Employee Safety and Disaster Awareness Training [VDEM]
• Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) [DCJS]
• Alcohol & Other Drugs Policy 2020 [DHRM]

The deadline for completion of all mandatory training modules is April 30, 2020. If you have any problems accessing or utilizing Canvas, please contact the Canvas team at canvashelp@nvcc.edu.
