Dr. Kimberly Wright Appointed to High School Outreach Special Assignment
Congratulations to Dr. Kimberly Wright who will lead NOVA’s effort to unify high school outreach and coordination!
Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, and in collaboration with the lead dean liaison for the High School Outreach (HSOR) Working Group, Dr. Debbie Wyne, dean of students (LO), Dr. Wright will provide leadership to the campuses in the areas of recruitment and outreach. She will continue working as the Student Services Coordinator under Dr. Ellen Fancher-Ruiz, dean of students (AN).
Dr. Wright has had an extensive career at NOVA, serving in multiple positions, both in academic and student service areas throughout her 20 years of service. She is a committed advocate for increased access and student success in post-secondary education.
Wright earned her doctorate in Community College Leadership at Morgan State University, completed post-graduate course work in Counseling and Higher Education Policy & Leadership at University of Maryland Eastern Shore and University of Maryland College Park, respectively. She earned her Master’s in Education Administration from Salisbury State University; and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
