Congratulations to Dr. Kerith “Keri” Bowman who will lead and provide guidance to NOVA’s Adult Career Pathways and Financial Stability Program. Under Dr. Bowman’s leadership, both programs will utilize innovative strategies to maximize operational effectiveness, efficiency and reach. Specifically, her leadership will guide the Adult Career Pathways program to provide a holistic array of services that are responsive, individualized and appropriate to support and prepare adults to develop the employable skills needed to enter or re-enter the workforce. Also, she will guide the Financial Stability Program operations to provide  holistic “culture of care” student supports through financial coaching, emergency assistance and access to community resources through NOVA’s Single Stop Program. This assignment will be in addition to her current role.

Dr. Bowman has worked in higher education for more than 20 years in a variety of roles and settings. You know her as the Director of Academic Planning and Advising, a role that she has played since 2012. Before she came to Northern Virginia Community College, she worked at North Carolina State University and Nash Community College in North Carolina. Her work spans academic advising and student development to learning support and tutorial services.
