Marketing Updates: Summer, Fall Recruitment and Awareness Campaigns Underway
This year has been a busy and unexpected one, and as we move through the summer semester, the Marketing Department wanted to provide a few updates regarding summer and fall recruitment and general awareness campaigns. We understand recruitment, enrollment and retention are particularly important this year so we wanted to provide information about the advertising, communication and marketing efforts we have in place to assist.
This spring and summer, we launched our “Don’t Put Your Future on Pause” campaign. This slogan and idea were chosen because they illustrate that NOVA is future-focused and a stabilizing force in our community. The campaign targeted displaced workers, high school students and transient college students in particular. While the summer ads have now been adjusted to incorporate fall enrollment language, you can view the portfolio of summer ads Here.
We have now adjusted the “Don’t Put Your Future on Pause” campaign to push fall enrollment. The key messaging continues to resonate as COVID-19 continues to impact our daily lives. We are targeting the same population with the inclusion of students contemplating a gap year. Any student that shows their interest in NOVA by clicking on an ad and providing us with their information will then receive ongoing enrollment messaging. This includes email and phone messaging encouraging students to apply, to complete their application and to enroll. Please note that all students who provide their information to NOVA, whether via a request for more information, starting an application or completing an application, are receiving enrollment marketing emails from NOVA’s Marketing Department. Any communication from campuses to prospective students must be in concert with this plan, thus the need to partner with the Marketing Department prior to sending out communications.
The campaigns described above are performing very well, and Marketing continues to monitor and adjust messaging and targeting to reach current and prospective NOVA students where they are on their educational journey. If you have questions please contact marketing@nvcc.edu.
