New Grad Prep Programs for Upcoming Fall/Spring Grads
A common question advisors receive from students is, “What courses do I need to graduate?” Students may not know how to apply for graduation or all the steps that may be included in planning for admission, transfer and/or entry into the workforce.
If you are advising students that will complete their degrees soon, please consider referring them to one of the Grad Prep programs that will be occurring this month. With remote learning, we do not want students to fall behind in their completion goals this academic year! The target audience is students who are planning to complete their NOVA degrees and certificates this academic year (fall 2020/spring 2021).
The Grad Prep Programs will offer presentations from the Campus Registrar, Counseling (including career and transfer), Academic Success Center and Financial Aid. We will discuss how to plan for the last semester/year and life after NOVA. We will also review how to verify if students are meeting degree requirements and encourage students to meet deadlines (graduation and/or transfer deadlines) well in advance for best chance of success. We will share the various resources that NOVA has to assist students with employment. The deadline to apply for fall 2020 graduation is October 1st.
Students may select one of the Grad Prep Program dates below:
- Friday, September 11, 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
- Thursday, September 24, 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
