Navigate Early Alert Training for Faculty and Professional Advisors
The College recently began training on the Early Alert feature in Navigate. Early Alerts are designed to provide timely feedback to students about their performance in courses and to suggest actions to improve. These alerts are initiated by the teaching faculty member and sent to both the student and the student’s assigned advisor, who can suggest ways to improve their learning and performance in the course.
If you are an assigned advisor in SIS, you may receive an alert for one of your advisees. Resources for suggested interventions and communications are provided Here. There is also a short video about how to “close the loop” that can be found Here.
