Questions About NOVA’s Forum Councils?

October 2, 2020 / General NOVA News

You’re invited to participate in the College Forum, NOVA’s governing body composed of the Forum Councils, College Senate and the College committees. Joining your College Forum is a great way to add a goal to your professional activities and benchmarks.

Who can join? Teaching, administrative and professional faculty, classified staff and students.

What do we do?

  • Forum Councils (from each campus and representing college staff) share a valuable role in representing our diverse campus communities and having a voice in important matters relevant to College constituencies.
  • Forum Council members are also selected to serve in the College Senate. The College Senate considers topics pertinent to the College’s interests and activities and makes recommendations to the appropriate college committee, officer or forum council for further consideration.

When? Every March, elections are held to fill vacancies in the Forum Councils. Consider nominating yourself or encouraging a colleague to run. Learn more about the College Forum Here
