Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) = Student Success
NOVA has partnered with Ruffalo, Noel and Levitz (RNL) to create a three-year strategic enrollment plan that will guide our Student Success efforts. Monthly summits will be held throughout the year, with each summit focusing on immediate steps and long-term strategies. A cross-section of faculty and staff participated in recruitment and admissions data discovery sessions in August and September of this year. This work is about much more than new student recruitment–it also includes a review of existing processes, procedures and policies that impact the enrollment and retention of current students. NOVA’s SEM has a goal of achieving consistent, student-ready services and practices across all of our campuses.
Our objectives are as follows:
- Develop student-centered processes and policies that enhance the student experience.
- Define roles and responsibilities that improve operational effectiveness.
- Align program offerings with market demand.
- Identify opportunities and marketing strategies designed to improve awareness of NOVA’s brand promise.
- Implement data-driven strategies to improve enrollment and retention.
Information regarding NOVA’s SEM planning for the future and immediate actions will be posted soon on the college intranet. For more information on NOVA’s SEM work, please contact Vice President of Student Services Dr. Frances Villagran-Glover, fvillagranglover@nvcc.edu.
