Join together for learning and self-reflection! Understand the significance of why “Black Lives Matter” has made so many headlines and garnered so much attention. Learn what it means to live and work in a diverse world with people from a variety of identities, specifically racial identities. Understand microaggressions and how they may manifest in educational environments and impact historically-marginalized communities. This session creates a space for open, honest communication and active engagement by all members of the community in recognizing the value of every voice.

- Dr. Pawan Dhingra, professor of American studies, Amherst College; author of Hyper Education: Why Good Schools, Good Grades, and Good Behavior Are Not Enough
- Dr. Jordan West, director, university diversity & inclusion programs, George Washington University
- Katie Koestner, author, activist and educator; Featured on the cover of TIME Magazine at age 18 and subject of an HBO Movie.
