National Transfer Student Week is Oct. 19-23

October 19, 2020 / Events

This is a reminder that NOVA’s Transfer Working Group (TWG) will be celebrating National Transfer Student Week (Oct. 19 through Oct. 23) by hosting a number of virtual transfer workshops/events. These events allow students (and advisors) opportunities to connect directly with representatives from four-year institutions in order to learn more about the transfer process. You can find the extensive list of events on the Transfer Hub. We encourage you to share this information with your students!

One particular event we would like to highlight is the Adult Learner Transfer Expo, scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 22, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The goal of this event is to highlight opportunities for adult students who are looking for programs that fit their specific needs. Participating institutions/programs include: American Public University, George Mason University (Bachelor of Individualized Studies), George Washington University (College of Professional Studies – IT, Cybersecurity, Homeland Security and School of Medicine & Health Sciences), Old Dominion University Online, and the University of Virginia (Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies). Students can Register Here.
