AN History Prof. Authors Forthcoming Book, Journal Article

John Schmitz, professor of history at Annandale Campus, has authored a book, “Enemies among Us: The Relocation, Internment and Repatriation of German, Italian and Japanese Americans During the Second World War,” (University of Nebraska Press). The book will be available in August 2021 and is now available for pre-order. Schmitz also received initial acceptance for an article titled, “A Crisis of Identity: Good Aliens, Bad Americans or Bargaining Chips? U.S. Civilian Exchanges with the Third Reich During World War II,” which will appear in The International History Review. He will co-author this article with Dr. Bradley Hart of University of California-Fresno.
