Enjoy NOVA’s Fall Haiku Celebrating the Season

November 9, 2021 / Tuesday Topics

Today’s topic is fall haiku, and I am delighted to share more than 30 haiku written by your amazingly talented NOVA colleagues!

The theme for your creativity was “fall,” and as you can see, fall means many different things to different people. It was a joy to read the poems, which range from humorous evocations of college life to gorgeous portraits of the season. Thank you so much to all of our authors!

Using a very un-poetic system (a random number generator), I selected four of the haiku authors to receive a seasonal gift: each will have a $50 donation made by my family in their name to a local food bank of their choosing so that the upcoming holidays are a bit brighter for those in need.

Again, I send my appreciation to everyone who shared their poems! The haiku are included here for your reading pleasure (NOVA Fall Haiku 2021).

And, before I close, one reminder: the last Office Hour zoom of the calendar year will be November 22 at 2 p.m. Look for a link for anonymous questions in next week’s Daily Flyers.
