Virginia Bedell Back Music Cultural Exchange Series Presents Negin Khpalwak

NOVA’s Annandale Campus Music Department is pleased to host A Conversation and Q&A with Negin Khpalwak. This musical event will be held at the Annandale Campus (CA-302) on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m.

Negin Khpalwak is the first female conductor from Afghanistan and the former conductor of Zohra, the first all-women’s musical ensemble in Afghanistan. She studied at Afghanistan’s National Institute of Music and led Zohra in performances around the world, including at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Join us for an engaging conversation and Q&A about the transformative power of music. Sponsored by the Virginia Bedell Back Endowment for Music at Annandale.
