Student Veteran Receives Scholarship to UVA
NOVA’s Office of Military and Veteran Services is proud to announce that student veteran Justin Howard has been selected as a Posse Veterans Scholar and will be attending the University of Virginia (UVA) starting in Fall 2024.
The Posse Veterans Program identifies, trains and supports veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are interested in pursuing bachelor’s degrees at top colleges and universities. With more than 500 applicants vying for 30 scholarships, Justin will join 10 other Posse Veterans Program Scholars at UVA.
Justin will graduate from NOVA this spring with an A.S. in business administration. With all that he has learned at NOVA, he looks forward to his future with anticipation:
“My opportunity to attend the University of Virginia through the Posse Foundation’s Veterans Program Scholarship is not just a milestone in my academic journey; it’s a chance for me to achieve my dreams and contribute meaningfully to our society. I’m grateful for NOVA’s rigorous academic environment and the tremendous support of the Office of Military and Veteran Services … preparing me for this incredible opportunity! I will continue to represent the high standards of NOVA and to make the Nighthawk community proud!”
Congratulations, Justin — we know you will continue to do great things!
