Tuition Rate Change for the Fall 2024 Semester
As students plan their Fall 2024 semester, we wanted to provide some important information about NOVA’s upcoming tuition rates. Community college tuition rates in Virginia are determined by the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) State Board. Decisions regarding tuition rates are usually made in May.
Until any changes are made to the current tuition rates, when students register, their balance will be based on the College’s 2023–24 tuition rates. What that means is…
- If students pay their balance and then rates increase for Fall 2024, they will see a new balance on their account to pay for the difference.
- If students are enrolled in a payment plan, their remaining scheduled payments will be updated automatically when the new rates are determined.
- If students have payment arrangements through another source (e.g., veterans benefits or third-party billing), they should work with the relevant office at NOVA.
We’ll follow up with more information on 2024–25 tuition rates as it becomes available.
