NOVA PTK Advisors Accompany All-Va. Academic Team to Richmond Awards Ceremony!

A group NOVA students, faculty and administrators traveled to Richmond on Wednesday, April 17, for the All-Virginia Academic Team Awards. Seven NOVA students were recognized as part of the 2024 Phi Theta Kappa All-Virginia Academic Team: Nourhan Hamad, Monica Fergerson, Marvel Igbokwe, Tiernan Caulfield, Javier Sagastume, Torneise Wire and Brandon Harder. Loudoun Campus student Javier Sagastume was also honored as a 2024 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Bronze Scholar and member of the 2024 Phi Theta Kappa Top Ten All-Virginia Academic Team. 

Phi Theta Kappa is the leading honor society for two-year colleges. The All-Virginia Academic Team consists of students that have not only excelled academically but also supported their peers and community with excellence and service. All-Virginia Academic Team members are also considered for the Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team and the All-USA Academic Team, which offers scholarships made possible by sponsorships from Coca-Cola, the Follett Higher Education Group and the American Association of Community Colleges.

Congratulations to these Nighthawks whose hard work has launched them on a path to success!
