NOVA Appoints New Director Emergency Management and Safety

NOVA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Cook as the new director of the Office of Emergency Management and Safety (OEMS), effective today. Mr. Cook, who has been an integral member of NOVA’s OEMS team for more than five years, previously served as the safety manager, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in collegewide emergency management, environmental health and safety.

In his new role as director, Mr. Cook will bring a deep reservoir of knowledge and experience to the position, having been instrumental in developing and implementing safety protocols across our campuses. His extensive background in emergency management and his commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment make him a valuable asset to our team.

Mr. Cook is enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the College’s comprehensive safety planning efforts and is eager to collaborate with the College community to ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of our campuses.
