Walker Wisdom Day 4: Incorporate a Hobby on Your Journey
Trying something new on your walk can break up the monotony that can come when you take the same path. Here are some new ideas to try on your next walk:
- Photography: Find new and interesting perspectives to take stunning photos
- Bird-watching is a great way to switch things up. See if you can spot species you haven’t seen before.
- Plant identification: Grab a list of local flora and try to identify it along your walk. There are also plant identification apps available.
- Scavenger hunts: Your kids would love it! There are many ways to incorporate scavenger hunts into your walk. You can make a list of things you might spot, play I Spy or do an alphabet walk where you find something that starts with each letter of the alphabet.
For more family fun, there are many more activities that you can incorporate into your walking routine. Howdy Health has a list of 25 activities. Check them out!
