Join Us for “Leadership for All: Understanding Governance and Shared Governance,” Oct. 23

October 8, 2024 / HR News/Training

Continuing our “Leadership for All” series, we’re excited to announce our next session. Register here for Understanding Governance and Shared Governance. This informative webinar will be held on Wednesday, October 23, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. and will provide an overview of governance structures and their critical role in our institution’s decision-making processes.

Our guest speakers, Amanda Wilder, associate director of federal relations, and Jose Dimas, director of government affairs, will begin by introducing the key concepts of governance and shared governance, highlighting their significance in shaping College operations. The focus will then shift to our College’s specific governance structure, including the various committees and councils and their respective functions. To ensure that your questions are addressed, we will conclude the session with an open Q&A segment where you can seek clarification and engage directly with our speakers.

This webinar is an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of how NOVA operates and to discover how you can actively participate in our shared governance process.

Did You Miss the Inaugural Session? If you’re curious about what these sessions are all about, we invite you to view the recording of our inaugural session with Dr. Anne Kress on embracing NOVAs mission, values and strategic goals, which is still available on our Leadership for All Information page. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up and gain insight into the valuable discussions that took place.

We look forward to seeing you there!
