Nominations Open for Virginia’s Top Employers for Interns
Do you know of partnership organizations that have an internship program? The Commonwealth seeks to recognize the “Top Virginia Employers for Interns” and their role in providing work-based learning opportunities to students. On behalf of V-TOP, Region 7, we are pleased to announce that nominations are open for the 2025 Top Virginia Employers for Interns Award. We encourage organizations to complete this form and submit it for consideration by February 28, 2025 so that their business or organization can be considered for this distinction. Only one submission per organization is needed.
Prior to getting started, we recommend taking a look at the attached document to review the questions that are asked in the nomination form. That way, they can gather the needed information prior to completing and submitting the form.
A submitted nomination form does not guarantee an award. All submissions undergo an administrative review and nomination submission review. The administrative review ensures nominated employers are currently authorized to do business in Virginia, ensures they have a legitimate Virginia presence and validates their internship offerings. Nominee review criteria are based on the responses provided on the nomination form.
All Virginia-based employers offering internships, regardless of size and sector, are eligible to be nominated. The nomination form should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
State-level recognition and award notification will take place by April 1, 2025, and regional events will occur after the notification this spring. The 2025 recipients will also be recognized during a special event on Virginia Intern Day (July 31, 2025).
