March is National Nutrition Month, making it the perfect time to consider how the food we eat impacts our walking goals and joint health. As we step into the second week of our Walk with Ease (WWE) challenge, let’s prioritize intentional nutrition that energizes, heals, and sustains.

Did you know that certain foods can help reduce inflammation and support joint health? 

This Monday’s Tip: Make small nutritional changes to fuel your walks and support your joint health.

  • Fight Inflammation. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish, walnuts and flaxseeds have natural anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Protect Your Joints. Colorful fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants help combat oxidative stress that can damage joints.
  • Build Strength. Lean meats and meatless proteins like beans and tofu help repair and strengthen muscles that support your joints.
  • Stay Hydrated. Drinking plenty of water helps lubricate your joints and transport essential nutrients throughout your body.
