Community Spotlight: Family Clothing Closet

Women Giving Back was founded in June 2007 with the goal of helping transitionally homeless women and children get on their feet with clothes to help them enter the workplace and fit in at school. They continue to serve women and children in need across Northern Virginia.

When you enter Women Giving Back you feel you just stepped into a cute boutique clothing shop. The staff and volunteers are warm and welcoming!

The space is child friendly. Kids can entertain themselves in the play area while mothers shop.

Mothers can pick up to 50 items of women’s and children’s clothing, plus shoes, accessories, and toiletries. The also have maternity clothes.

If you are in need of clothing for yourself and/or your children, contact Pathways’ staff member, Jeannette Bilgera, regarding a referral to Women Giving Back at jbilgera@nvcc.edu or 703-933-8062. They are located in Sterling;  however, serve the entire Northern Virginia area. If you need assistance with transportation, let Jeannette know.
