The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is pleased to announce that the online application system is open for students participating in credit-bearing study abroad programs and international internships during the spring 2018 and summer 2018 terms.

On December 12th, 11 students from the Annandale and Alexandria Phi Theta Kappa chapters visited the Embassy of Mexico in Washington D.C. The visit was part of an ongoing research project NOVA-PKK is working on looking at issues of immigration to the U.S.
The group was hosted by two Hispanic Affairs officers from the embassy who answered a variety of questions from the students specifically on issues related to Mexican immigrants in the U.S.
The visit was arranged by Stacey Bustillos in NOVA’s Office of Global Studies and Programs and was supported by the Annandale PKK chair, Ms. Joann Credle.
