A bit about me —  I have been a full-time professor at NOVA for 10 years. Before teaching I was a full-time Graphic Designer. Currently, I live in Gainesville, VA. I received my bachelors degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and my Master’s degree at Savannah School of Art and Design.

With a degree in Illustration from the Art Center College of Design, Karin Huggens has over 25 years of experience as a visual designer. She’s created murals for museums across the country, illustrated for magazines and print, animated 2D characters for educational resources and Saturday morning cartoons.
