Buckland Farm is a 420-acre estate located in the heart of Virginia’s Fauquier County in Warrenton, VA. Features include cannabis cultivation, compost barn, and beautiful sunsets! Our hemp flower is grown using organic methods and we practice regenerative farming to revitalize our soil every year. We keep our hand in the entire process from seed to sale.
A full-time experienced Horticulturist and company owner with 5+ years of cultivation experience from the Northern VA area will be supervising the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, dependable and with a basic knowledge of plants.
● Valid driver’s license
● Ability to work in all weather conditions
● Basic knowledge or ability to learn use and maintenance of hand tools and basic power farming equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Horticulturist on full range of garden and property maintenance, including but not limited to:
- Upkeep of the cannabis plants health and soil
- Maintaining the cannabinoid production in the cannabis plants through preventive methods
- Field preparation for cannabis seedlings to be planted
- Planting, upkeep, and harvest of various cannabis cultivars
- Monitoring and watering of the cannabis plants
- Edging, mulching, and weeding of planting beds
- Weekly pest and plant health monitoring of property, applying integrated pest management strategies as needed
- Garden design and cannabis cultivar choices for the season
- Manufacture raw cannabis into CBD products
- Infuse edible products with CBD cannabis distillate
This can be a full or part time position. Hours to be discussed and can vary depending on class schedule. Occasional weekend hours and flexibility may be required. This Internship is unpaid; however, you will gain knowledge necessary to succeed in the cannabis industry and add strong work experience to your resume. You will be involved in the entire seed to sale process. From learning to plant over 3,000 seedlings, to their care, harvest, and manufacturing of products.
