Good new Nighthawk Horticulture! The Vall and Bill Tillet Scholarship deadline has been extended to April 15th 2022! Val and Bill Tillett Scholarship
Founded by Bill and Val Tillett Est. Scholarship: $2,000
Criteria: Recipient must be attending Northern Virginia Community College seeking a degree within the school’s Horticulture program, Award priority is given Loudoun County residents as well as financial need; residents of Prince William, Fairfax, Alexandria, and Arlington will be considered. Both full-time and part-time applicants may apply.
Application: CFLNFC General scholarship application and 250-words essay sharing “why a degree in Horticulture Technology or Landscape Design Specialization is a good fit for me,” or, “My financial challenges to attend school.”
Once selected, an applicant may apply for a second consecutive year of scholarship support with re-application and at least a 2.5 GPA or C+ or higher.
Applicants must have a letter of recommendation from the Program Head or teacher in the Horticulture program from NOVA Community College.

Leesburg Loudoun County HS Scholarship
Founded by Henry C. Stowers Est. Scholarship: $5,000 to $6,700
Criteria: Recipient must be a graduate or graduating from Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, VA, Loudoun County (within last 6 months); offer evidence of financial need, scholastic ability, and participation in school and community activities.
One awardee will be selected each year; the award is renewable for a total of four years with annual re-application, continued full-time enrollment; and GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Blair and Mike Pirrello Vocational Scholarship
Founded by Blair and Mike and their family Est. Scholarship: $500-$2,500
Criteria: Recipient must be a Loudoun County resident and high-school graduate or GED equivalent within the past four years preceding application seeking further education through a vocational trade or apprenticeship. Some emphasis may be placed on financial need. With approval funds received may be used for academic or testing costs, books, and associated trade tools. Application: CFLNFC General scholarship application and one-page essay sharing “Why trade or vocational school is a good fit for me,” or, “My plans for the future.”
