HRT 260- Introduction to Floral Design

Teaches skills required for the composition of basic table arrangements. Includes the history of design styles, identification of flowers and greens, identification and use of equipment, and conditioning and handling of flowers

Materials Fee: $175

Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival!

Horticulture Club is proud to announce that we are participating in the 32nd Annual Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival for the first time since 2019!! We will be selling a variety of fantastic plants for your home and landscape! We will be offering a selection of Geraniums, Alternanthera, Angelonia, Begonias, Bacopas, Bidens, Bromeliads, Coleus, New Guinea Impatiens, Assorted Succulents, and Scaevola.

Spring Break Horticulture Hike

Hey Guys!

We have our Horticulture field trip to River Bend park on Saturday, March 12th.

We will be meeting at the visitor center at 11:00 AM EST. The address is: 8700 Potomac Hills St, Great Falls, VA 22066

The trail we will be walking is the “Potomac Heritage Trail”. It is around a 3 to 4 mile hike, round trip, so be sure to prepare accordingly with proper footwear and water supply.
