Fairfax County Farmers Markets Intern
Green Spring Gardens and the Fairfax County Farmers Markets (FCFM) invites qualified undergraduate students to apply for our 2021 summer internship program. We are seeking an intern who can assist in promoting the Farmers Markets, supporting SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program), and coordinating logistics in preparation for National Farmers Market week, and other promotional events. The White Gardens
Horticultural Intern at White Gardens
The John C. and Margaret K. White Gardens is a new public garden in Falls Church with an azalea, rhododendron, and camellia collection established by John and Margaret White. The thirteen-acre garden is under development. Internship activities will focus on
identifying, mapping, and developing a management plan for invasive plants, and organizing and leading volunteers for monthly workdays. Knowledge of GIS/GPS-based mapping systems is desired, and experience working with volunteers will be beneficial.
