On September 12, the Oral Communication Center at the Annandale Campus held a Toastmasters International Demonstration Meeting. Toastmasters International is a worldwide organization focused on developing leadership and public speaking skills. More than 30 people attended, including three members of the local Northern Virginia Toastmasters community: President of George Mason University Toastmasters Club Amy Brener, Area 29 Toastmasters Governor Fran Gedra Greene, and Distinguished Toastmaster Paul White. The demonstration meeting was a simulated Toastmasters meeting and gave attendees the opportunity to practice leadership and public speaking skills.
