Financial Aid Workshop, Standing Room Only

Loudoun’s Financial Aid Specialists Magda Valencia and Ashley Acheson conducted a financial aid workshop for more than 100 people. The workshop was held at the Cascades Library in Sterling, Virginia.

“We were thrilled to see so many people attend our workshop,” said Valencia. “The attendees were actively involved in the session and we received many good comments afterward.”

“I am glad we have an avenue to reach out to the community,” said Acheson. “Families and individuals really need to know that NOVA can help them with financial aid and that we are cost effective.”

The Loudoun Campus has fostered a mutually beneficial relationship with the Loudoun County Public Library. NOVA offers experts as lecture leaders, and the library gives NOVA a location. Ultimately, it is a wonderful way to reach the greater community.

“It really is a win-win relationship,” said Campus and Community Relations Specialist Jolie Perara. “This gives us the opportunity to reach out and raise awareness about NOVA.”
