The Manassas Campus was abuzz as professionals interested in teaching at NOVA attended two Adjunct Recruitment Fairs held in Parrish Hall. On February 2, nearly 100 people from across the area came to learn about NOVA-Manassas by talking to current faculty in their area of interest. On February 5, another 50 professionals attended.
Interested candidates had an opportunity to speak with Human Resources representatives and enjoy light refreshments while visiting with various program heads. Among other faculty, Dr. Dariel “Dee” Martin was excited to welcome attendees as they arrived and answer questions about the Science and Applied Technologies Division.
Provost Roger Ramsammy told the faculty/staff planning committee to pull out all the stops to ensure the event was a success. In an email sent to the campus after the event, Ramsammy commented that “he had heard only great reviews about the fair” and congratulated the team for a “job well done.” The planning committee was Dr. Charlene Phillips, Dr. Rebecca Hayes, Dr. Charles Korn, George Bolash, Dr. Anitza San Miguel, Essala Lowe and Ramunda Young.
