Back by Demand: Practical Project Management Training

Human Resources (HR) is pleased to announce the course Practical Project Management – Applications to Fit the Educational Environment will be offered again this fall. Practical Project Management is a five-session course that introduces participants to the basic principles of project management methodology. Participants learn to plan, measure and report projects for NOVA by applying it to a current NOVA project.

HR is offering two class options this semester starting on Tuesday, September 24 at the new Fairfax location. A morning section will meet each Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and a separate afternoon section will meet from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be five total class sessions for each section and it is vital that you attend all five. Please obtain approval from your supervisor or manager before registering.

Any employee missing one session may incur a charge to their NOVA department or division of up to $500.

The class dates are as follows:

*Note: There will be no class on October 15.

Participants are required to attend all five sessions to receive 15 contact hours and a certificate of completion. Register early as the sections will fill up fast. Registration will close at midnight on September 16.
