In the spirit of the fall football season, the Alexandria Achieving the Dream (ATD) team sponsored NOVA’s Student Success Week with “Touchdown to Student Success” activities.

Laura Franklin, ATD Alexandria Campus chair, kicked off the event by wearing her favorite football jersey and sharing with faculty and students the impact of ATD on student achievement. Faculty, staff and students produced short videos clips and shared personal stories using the theme, “Who Inspired Me to Be Successful.”

Student Success Coordinator, Rhonda Myers, facilitated a student panel session
about the six student success college policies to be implemented in fall 2014. Students shared their insights and provided advice to
first year students about the importance of
seeking out their advisors and participating in
campus activities.
